School screenings

The Youth Film Festival organizes school screenings during one week before and one week after the festival. During the week before the festival, we will screen films suitable for primary school children and during the week after the festival, we will screen a selection of films suitable for secondary school children. The school screenings are also part of the screening programme of 'Lessen in het Donker'. 'Lessen in het Donker' creates educational material concerning the films, enabling teachers to use the film in an educational context.

Picnic at the neighbours
Easter Holiday

The project 'Picnic at the neighbours' was developed by theatre company Luxemburg as a socio-artistic project. The performances will take place in small tents in play areas - eye-catching places in the neighbourhood - and easily accessible for local inhabitants. Luxemburg will perform for the littlest ones in the play area and the European Youth Film Festival of Flanders will screen a film for older children. That way, the whole play area will be used during the Easter holidays.
