Svein and the Rat
6
Norway, 2006
Most people think rats are disgusting. Sven thinks that’s ridiculous. Rats don’t fart or burp and they spend all day cleaning themselves, so what are people fussing about?
Sven wants to convince the world (in an ironic voice-over) how great rats are by making his own pet, Halvorsen, an ambassador. Together they will surely change the people’s perception of rats. When Halvorsen keeps misbehaving at home – jumping into a big pan of soup during dinner, or chewing through the television cable during the most important football game of the year – Sven’s parents threaten to bring the uncontrollable animal back to the pet shop. Will Sven manage to keep Halvorsen with him?
