The Indian tells the story of eight-year-old Koos who wants to be like his imposing, ultra-Dutch father. This is not easy, because Koos is adopted from Peru and is therefore small and dark-skinned. When he sees a Peruvian boy playing strange music in front of the supermarket, he realizes that he himself also has Indian blood running through his veins. From that moment, he does everything to be a real Indian, in spite of the fact that his parents are Dutch. It is not easy to go through an identity crisis when your are eight years old… A heartwarming film.
