This film is preceded by the short film Washdays.

Eleven-year-old Mary is not like other girls; she dreams about becoming a car racer. When a car race is organised in the village, she simply has to take part! Together with her best friend Tom she tries to construct the winning go-kart. But suddenly Tom has to leave, her mother is tired of farm life and her father refuses to help her. Everything seems to go wrong, until her dad tells her a secret from his childhood.
