Rosie
Patrice Toye, Belgium, 1998
The touching story of a young girl who becomes the victim of her own imagination as she tries to escape from the harsh reality of everyday life. In a detention centre, 13-year-old Rosie recalls memoties of her childhood. She expresses her thoughts in letters to Jimi, her one and only friend. We go back in time and are immersed in her inner world, in which it is sometimes difficult to tell fact from fantasy. Gradually, the meaning of each detail is revealed. Rosie harbours a terrible secret, which is also the cause of her detention.
