Miguel, Angel, Izan en Dani are fifteen years old. They’re being treated for cancer and are staying at the fourth floor or planta 4A of a hospital. Jorge, also a boy with cancer is introduced to the group.
They share their dreams and passions. Their friendship proves to be invaluable. The teenagers have enough time to visit other patients, to play basketball, to keep nightly wheelchair races and to make fun of the nurses. Their joy of living and humour are a big help to keep their heads above water.
Planta 4A is a movie that rather makes you happy than sad, regardless the heavy theme. You will feel more and more respect for the joy of living and humour of the lead characters. The director uses the topics that concerns young people most: a first love, sexuality, idolatry, finding your place in a group.
