Young boy Ruben is blind and lonesome. At his mother’s request, Marie comes to read him stories; she has a wonderful voice. Slowly but surely, the two fall in love. Ruben pictures Marie’s image as an astonishing beauty… which is far from reality. When the message is passed that an operation will make Ruben able to see again, the main question is: will Ruben reject Marie or will true prove itself truly blind?
