From Book to Screen
This year Antwerp is in the picture as 'book capital'. We look at books through the eyes of a camera. Can we find stories that are worth wile filming? Which images evoke words? Can you become a book character? How is it possible to make incredible situations come to life in front of the camera? We also look at the bok as a film object. In this 4-day workshop you learn how to handle a camera and you will be submerged in film techniques. You will be in front and behind the camera. You'll work together with other film fanatics. Technique and fantasy melt together. During the editing process you discover the power of sound with your images. From all this you start on your own film debut.

Workshop Animated Film
The aim of this course is to learn the children how to deal with animated film in an active way. Teach them how animated films are made, so they can make one themselves. In between, they get lots of petty facts and theory. Therefore, they will enjoy the animated films more and they will develop their creativity. During 4 days, they will make an animated film with different techniques in a creative and strongly participating way, on the basis of a story they invent theirselves or in group. The course is in the hands of 2 collaborators of Jekino.

Workshop Canal+
Together with Canal PLus the festival organised a worksop in January. 8 young Canal Plus viewers got the chance to write, film and edit a short film.

Tattoo Shop
What do you think of a tattoo on your body? Sounds interesting, certainly when you know that our tattoos are washable. From the name of your sweetheart to cool signs, everything is possible and washable in this workshop.

Beautyfarm
Our own beauty parlour! Like a juggler conjures a rabbit out of a hat, so we conjue a real actress or a miss out of our cosmetic case. With make-up, eyeliners, eyeshadow, mascara, blush and lipstick, we can shortly be our idol.

Mister Gadget
Like every spy, you will be equipped with the most secret applications: a cell phone hidden in an appliance behind your ear, a watch with a built-in computer,... At Mister Gadget you'll design the strangest appliances for your spy missions.

Talking Pictures
Here we use some speech technology. We bring a comic alive by giving the characters your own voice. All voices and background noises ara digitally adapted, edited and melted together into an electronically talking comic.

Mad Mission
What at first sight seems impossible becomes reality in Mad Mission. 2 groups go into battle and make up the weirdest assignments for each other. You only have 1 morning to accomplish the assignment in an original way. Take your camera and film the whole process.
