Spooky Time with Laban

Spooky Time with Laban-related workshop - ages 3-4 accompanied by an adult
Welcome to Laban’s castle! But…Laban the little ghost is not good at haunting…By means of voices and instruments we will help him frighten the castle residents and create our own ‘soundtrack’. Do you remember who lives at the castle and which colours daddy ghost’s skin turned to when he was ill? Discover how, through simple animation techniques, Laban and his little sister Labolina can float in front of the camera and Rufus the dog can catch a frisbee. Kids get busy, mum and dad sit at the controls! We will conclude the workshop with our own (not so) scary ghost story.

Come on, story!

Ages 8-10
A film begins with a story. A good story. It is quite ecxiting to come up with a good story. A film story has some odd characteristics. When you film someone who walks through a door and seconds later you see the same person buying a loaf of bread, you would think that door was the baker’s shop entrance. When you film someone who buys a loaf of bread at the baker’s shop and seconds later you see that person entering a room, you would think that person comes home. In order to learn how to create a film story, we will first take photographs. Then, we will use those photographs to create different stories by changing the order. Would you like to join us?
