Workshop Documentary
During the 12th European Youth Film festival of Flanders, Jekino Films will compose a reporting team of kids between 14 and 16 years old. During the festival week they will make a real video report. Their mission is to give an utmost original look behind the scenes, shoot charming images, take profound interviews,... The workshop is in the hands of a professional co-worker of Jekino Films, an official youth service which, for 20 years, has been trying to stimulate the interest in good children and youth films. To 'teach the children how to look' is Jekino's major aim. 'What do images tell us? What do they mean? With which intention are they showed?'. To ask such questions during the workshop and to find the answers, helps the kids to select from the large offer of images.
Workshop animation film
The aim of the course 'animation film' is to actively teach the children the tricks and turns of animation films. teach them how animation films are made, so the can make one themselves during this course. In between, they get lots of little facts and theory. Therefore, they will enjoy the animation films they see more, develop their creativity and make moving images into a film.
For four days, the children will make their own animation film using different techniques in a creative and strongly participating way, based on a story they invent among themselves. The course is given by two co-workers of the Raoul Servais Foundation, founded and animated by Belgian's best and most famous animation film maker Raoul Servais.
