Una selecció de curtmetratges al Sónarkids, 19 de juny, Barcelona

El Jeugdfilmfestival es famos per la gran quantitat d’estrenes de pel.licules europees per a nens i joves; i per la projeccio de novetats cinematografiques a les sales de cinema de Flandes. En JEFF vol compartir aquestes fantastiques pel.licules amb tothom i es per aixo que s’ha embarcat en aquesta aventura amb el Sónarkids de Barcelona!

SonarKids és la nova proposta d'oci familiar, concebuda pel Sónar per desenvolupar activitats, esdeveniments i productes culturals destinats a nens i a pares. SonarKids adapta la filosofia i l'esperit del Sónar al discurs familiar. Música, tecnologia i formació són els pilars bàsics d'aquesta nova proposta cultural, lúdica i pedagògica. SonarKids es fonamenta en l'originalitat i la innovació per a crear continguts que fomentin entre els més petits l'interès per descobrir nous estímuls. SonarKids promou la conducta creativa a través de propostes i contextos enriquidors que afavoreixin la interactivitat entre nens i pares.”

Amb un punt de partida tan inspirador, el Jeugdfilmfestival ha decidit a formar part d’aquest esdeveniment creatiu presentant dues series de curtmetratges en els quals l’animacio, la musica i una tria artistica propia en son el punt central. Imatges poetiques en 2D i 3D creades a partir de fotografies i taques de tinta; una lluita imaginaria entre un home i una formiga com a mostres de Beethoven; o un tros de paper portat a la vida. I per suposat el premiat curtmetratge belga “De zwemles”(La llico de natacio) d’en Dany De Vent tampoc hi podia faltar, en el qual podrem veure tot el que succeeix des dels ulls del poruc Jonas. Barcelona ens espera!

A selection of short films during Sónarkids - 19th of June, Barcelona

The Youth Film festival is known for its premieres of European Youth films and films never shown before in Flanders. JEFF wants to share these great films with everybody and that's why he decided to collaborate with Sónarkids from Barcelona!

"SonarKids is the new formula for family fun, conceived by Sónar for showcasing cultural activities, events and products for children and parents.SonarKids adapts the Sónar philosophy and spirit to a family focus. Sónar has become a high quality brand and an international touchstone for cultural activities linked to new technologies and cutting edge artistic creation. Music, technology and education are the cornerstones of this new idea in culture, entertainment and learning. SonarKids uses originality and innovation to create content encouraging an interest in discovering new inspirations among younger audiences. SonarKids fosters creative behaviour by means of enriching ideas and situations that encourage interactivity between children and parents."

This philosophy is very inspiring for the Youth Film Festival and that's why we really want to be part of this creative event. JEFF presents two selections of shorts where animation, music and artistic choices are central. Poetic 2D and 3D images made from pictures and inkblots, a fictive fight between man and ant on Beethoven's fifth or paper that comes alive. Obviously we can't leave Belgium without the prize-winning Belgian short film The Swimming Lesson by Dany De Vent where we see everything through the perspective of scared Jonas.

We are very happy with this international collaboration and honoured that we will be the first in charge of programming the short film selection. This collaboration is a proof that JEFF is getting more and more popular and that our festival is getting international recognition. Barcelona here we come!
