2008 / activities
A double birthday implies a double celebration. In Antwerp and in Bruges, we know that perfectly well. In Antwerp, all extra activities will take place at the entrance hall of the FotoMuseum. In Bruges, we will put up a festival tent outside café Republiek.
The Endless Forest
You get the opportunity – just like everybody else in the world - to play a deer in the interactive and wonderful computer game The Endless Forest. This game is not about winning or losing but it is about unexpected encounters and strange occurrences in an endless forest. The deer in Antwerp and Bruges will have their own identifying mark designed especially for the festival. If they meet each other in the forest, something magical will happen.
Stop Motion
We give you the opportunity to create your own animated film with our stop motion machine. Put a few objects on the screen, push the ‘take picture’-button and your own film is ready.
Music was my First love
For the littlest ones, the bigger festival visitors as well as for adults feeling nostalgic about their ‘plastic-fantastic’ childhood, we will present the musical wonderwall. On this huge musical wall, you get the opportunity to create pling-plong, crick-crack (film) music to your heart’s content. Come along and join us for a plingplongcrickcraccccckkk-song!
YouTube Cinema
Every day during the festival, our YouTube cinema is open to the festival visitors. At this theatre, you get the opportunity to watch short films related to a film screened that particular day. You can vote for the films which you think should be selected for our YouTube cinema. Check out the festival website and vote for your favourite film.
Film machine
This year, the film machine is visiting Antwerp. This is a machine in which you can dance in front of a camera. From this shooting, we select 40 images which will be printed, cut and bundled together with a rubber band. Leaf through this ‘flipbook’ and bring your dance back to life.
In addition to this, you can create your own superduper festival badge through the help of our badge machine as well as have your face painted, have your picture in front of a real screen and visit the small exhibition ‘20/10 festival editions’.
